Prolonged physical distancing requirements and the cumulative impact of interruptions to school, work, and family life present new challenges to wellness for today’s teenagers and young adults. What developmental impact and new health risks do pediatricians need to be aware of when supporting youth during the COVID-19 pandemic? Faculty from Children’s National Division of Adolescent Medicine will provide a developmental review of the pandemic’s impact on youth, and present timely strategies for engaging youth about COVID-specific and sexual behaviors.
