In this session, a panel of ENT faculty will provide practical management tips on the clinical problems of epistaxis, indications for sleep studies, cerumen management, medical management for mild obstructive sleep apnea/sleep disordered breathing and pediatric sinusitis, as well as the evaluation of pediatric neck masses. Relevant patient information documents and guidance for clinicians will be presented, as well as a discussion of when and how to refer.
Objectives:
- Optimize strategies for epistaxis management
- Diagnose and manage pediatric sinusitis in an outpatient setting
- Identify, initiate treatment and evaluation of obstructive sleep apnea
- Manage cerumen impactions
- Recognize, evaluation, and indications for referral for neck masses
