Dear Pediatric Health Network colleagues,

Hard to believe we are starting to think “back-to-school” and I know we have all been quite busy during the “summer check-up” season. Hope there has also been time for fun and relaxation and, for those fans out there, an opportunity to watch some Olympics action. Personally, I continue to be in awe of Katie Ledecky!

Over the last several months, we’ve received great feedback on the practice performance and data review meetings and appreciate the engagement in improving processes and care. Look out for further invites to schedule these in the coming months. In addition, a number of practices continue their pilot efforts focused on collaborative care for behavioral health conditions, headaches, and constipation. If you have any questions or are interested in joining these efforts, please let us know.

There are a number of events on the horizon and we want to highlight a few of them:

  • Business of Pediatrics on December 12: We are pleased to announce that the BOP event is officially scheduled for December 12. Mark your calendars and adjust your practice schedules for what promises to be the event of the season!
  • Grand Rounds:
    • August 22: A grand rounds session on STIs and PrEP/PEP.
    • September 20: A grand rounds session focused on Acne.
  • Behavioral Health Initiative Webinar on September 11: There will be a webinar addressing anxiety as part of our ongoing Behavioral Health Initiative. BHI is also hosting office hours – which are open to all – on August 14.
  • Meetings on August 27:
  • Race for Every Child on October 19: PHN is inviting practices to participate in this event, which is held at Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C. Learn more and register here.

As always, thanks for all you do!

Sincerely,
Eduardo Fox, M.D.
