BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Asha S. Payne M.D., M.P.H., is a board-certified Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician at Children’s National. Dr. Payne is the Assistant Medical Director of the Sheik Zayed Emergency Department. She is also the Director of the Quality and Safety Academy, which focuses on supporting and promoting the academic productivity of quality improvement trained faculty and staff at Children’s National. She completed medical school at the Duke University School of Medicine, while jointly earning a Master’s in Public Health from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. Dr. Payne completed Pediatric residency training at Duke Hospital. She then completed fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children’s National, where she has remained on as faculty.
