Mental Health Resources for Providers and Patients during COVID-19
Summary
As the pandemic continues, Pediatric Health Network recognizes the ongoing stress and toll it has had on our community. We put together a list of resources for our providers and your patients.
As the pandemic continues, Pediatric Health Network recognizes the ongoing stress and toll it has had on our community. We continue to navigate PPE shortages, social distancing guidelines and vaccine planning for the future all while homeschooling our children and balancing telemedicine and in-person visits. Our practices. Our patients. Our personal lives. They all look very different from a year ago – we miss our families and being able to participate in our favorite activities, particularly during these winter holiday months.
We would like to continue to support you with patient and provider wellness resources during the increasing mental health burden of the pandemic. We dedicated a newsletter to this topic in June, and as a follow up we have developed two resources we hope you will use: a Patient-Focused Mental Health Resources Handout (PDF), and a Provider-Focused Mental Health Resources Handout (PDF). These handouts are a repository of the best resources we found on the topic of mental health. We encourage you to print them, offer them to patients in crisis or keep them on hand to use if the need arises. Your patient’s wellbeing, as well as your own, are our top priority during this crisis.
If you have any questions about the resources or would like to share anything with our network on this topic, do not hesitate to reach out to our team. Positive change is on the horizon and we are hopeful the new year will change the trajectory of the pandemic. But, to all those who need to hear it, and to echo the words from our June newsletter: PHN stands with you. You are not alone.
