It is widely known that environmental factors, race, ethnicity, and even language spoken can cause disparities in asthma health outcomes. To better understand those disparities within our own populations, PHN is partnering with experts Chaya Merrill, DrPH and Diogo Anyigbo, MD to address the importance of examining how we’re collecting data on these factors and tips for screening and addressing disparities that may be affecting patients whose asthma isn’t optimally controlled. We invite all practice teams to join Social and Environmental Disparities Affecting Asthma Outcomes in the DMV Region on May 11th at noon to gain insights and practical tools to improve our care.
