Doctor’s Note: April Newsletter Introduction from Dr. Sandy Chung

Summary

Read Dr. Sandy Chung’s April newsletter note to PHN members, and make sure to subscribe to receive important updates and announcements from the network.

Dear PHN Members,

We are quickly approaching one of our most highly anticipated events of the year, Future of Pediatrics (FOP). Though we cannot gather in person, we know our virtual program will help us work and learn together to improve care for our patients. Thank you to everyone who submitted a proposal to present. We will announce the final agenda in mid-May, so please register for FOP here and watch your email for those updates. We can’t wait to “see” you there!

This was a busy April, and May promises more of the same learning opportunities. If you didn’t see it, I encourage you to watch our grand rounds, Moving On: How Providers can Successfully Help Families of Children with Special Needs Transition to Adult Care. We also addressed the 21st Century Cures Act in our most recent PHNIQ User Group — on what those updates mean for clinicians and tools eClinicalWorks provides to assure success. Look for those follow-up materials on our website. Finally, remember to mark your calendars for upcoming Advancing Asthma Care events, including Data Champions meetings and a webinar on addressing social and environmental disparities and asthma care. Be sure you are staying updated with these offerings and more through our newsletter (subscribe here).
In honor of this month’s Administrative Professionals’ Day, thank you to those of you serving in these important roles across our community. Your work is important, and we honor you for bringing the best care possible to children in the DMV region.
Thank you,
Sandy Chung, M.D.
