Doctor’s Note: March Newsletter Introduction from Dr. Hamburger

Summary

Read Dr. Ellie Hamburger’s March newsletter note to PHN members, and make sure to subscribe to receive important updates and announcements from the network.

Dear PHN Members,

If nobody else has said it to you yet, in honor of March’s National Doctor’s Day, thank you for all you do. Caring for patients and the communities we serve is never easy, but it has been especially difficult through the challenges of this past year. We at PHN hope we have helped to ease that burden for you and your practice teams with education and services in the past year. We’re dedicated to continuing to do so with guidance and input from you. Please continue to send suggestions to us at phn@childrensnational.org.

If you haven’t gotten a chance to listen, I encourage you to take a look at our most recent Primary Care COVID-19 Town Hall from March 23. In it, Dr. Bud Wiedermann gives the latest update on COVID including vaccines, variants, and return to school guidance. Dr. Sandy Chung discusses her experience hosting a vaccine clinic and provides guidance on how your practice can do the same. In other catch-up opportunities: our first two asthma webinars held in our four-part series provide the most recent guideline updates. If you missed them, find them here. Also, please remember to look at (and share!) our mental health resources for yourself, your patients, and your colleagues.

We have Future of Pediatrics and many other exciting virtual events coming up, so please make sure you keep up to date with our recent announcements and events by reading through this newsletter (subscribe here). Most importantly, a year into the pandemic, we want you to hear it again: you are not alone. PHN stands with you.

Sincerely,

Ellie Hamburger, M.D.
