Clinical Algorithm or Pathway

Virginia Mental Health Access Program (VMAP) Clinical Guideline for Trauma and PTSD: This algorithm provides primary care pediatricians and adolescent care providers with an evidence-based, practical, and structured approach to identifying and managing trauma and PTSD in young patients.

Child Health and Development Institute’s Child Trauma Screen: The Child Trauma Screen (CTS) is a brief, standardized, validated measure used across child-serving settings to identify children who may have experienced trauma and need more comprehensive assessment or treatment.
The Child and Adolescent Trauma Screen (CATS): The Child and Adolescent Trauma Screen questionnaire is a brief, freely accessible screening instrument based on the DSM-5 criteria for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It is a measure of potentially traumatic events and of posttraumatic stress symptoms (PTSS).
