Doctor’s Note: February Newsletter Introduction from Dr. Eduardo Fox
Summary
Read Dr. Eduardo Fox’s February Newsletter Doctor’s Note to PHN members and make sure to subscribe to receive important updates and announcements from the network.
I hope this letter finds you well. Hard to believe we’re already a month into 2024. As we look forward to our collaborative work this year, I encourage you to reflect on our evolution as a PHN community and some of the remarkable accomplishments we achieved together over the last year: the Behavior Health Initiative launch, a revamped Practice Manager Committee, numerous education and professional development opportunities, greater integration and access to data, and our shared (bumpy) experience with rolling out Nirsevimab!
This coming year, we will continue to grow as we focus on greater clinical integration across our network and the continuum of care of our patients. I am particularly excited about co-management strategies that bridge our patients’ care between their primary care medical homes and Children’s National’s specialty services and care. We will be developing and adopting standardized clinical protocols for the most common conditions and piloting interventions to improve communication, streamline workflows, and address challenges around access. Look out for communications highlighting ways you can get involved. Finding ways to increase engagement and improve the experience for our whole pediatric community – patients, families, and care teams – remains a core goal. Please reach out with your ideas.
There are already several events planned over the next few months so please read the February PHN Newsletter and check out the details. I would like to highlight that Future of Pediatrics will be taking place on Thursday, May 16 this year, so please save the date.
Gracias, as always, for all you do! So great to be part of this community.
Sincerely,
Eduardo Fox, M.D.
PHN Medical Director
