Dear PHN community,
The Future of Pediatrics is almost here! Please join us in person for our 24th annual Future of Pediatrics CME program, reception, and dinner celebrations sponsored by our Pediatric Health Network. We’re back in person for one day only on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at the Marriott North Bethesda Conference Center. Registration is FREE.
Earlier this year, the American Academy of Pediatrics released new guidelines and recommendations for the management of childhood obesity, which impacts over 20 percent of the children we serve. This year’s Future of Pediatrics CME program will help pediatricians begin to incorporate these recommendations into busy pediatric practice and partner more effectively with community & specialty resources. We have a great program lined up to help get you started.
Our Future of Pediatrics meeting is also an opportunity to reconnect with our colleagues in practice. Please join your pediatrician colleagues and our Children’s National specialists at our annual Future of Pediatrics Reception & Exhibition from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Don’t fight rush-hour traffic. Plan to stay and celebrate with your friends, and of course, there will be special prizes.
Finally, you’ve made it this far, stay for dinner! Join us for our annual Future of Pediatrics Dinner meeting with your friends and colleagues from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Over dinner, we host two very brisk annual business meetings – our Pediatric Health Network Annual Meeting and our Children’s National Hospital Medical Staff Meeting. By dessert time, we’re ready to celebrate. This year’s Future of Pediatrics dinner keynote will be a celebration of Dr. Kurt Newman and his remarkable leadership & career at Children’s National. By 8:00 p.m., the party is over and we can all drive safely (and quickly) home.
