Recognizing Outstanding Nurses Across the Network
Summary
Every year from May 6 – 12, we recognize and honor those at the heart of healthcare and on the frontlines of patient care – nurses.
Dear PHN Members,
Every year from May 6- 12 , we recognize and honor those at the heart of healthcare and on the frontlines of patient care – nurses. As the past two years have placed unprecedented strain on the healthcare system, we know that nurses shouldered this heavy burden and words cannot adequately express our deep gratitude. While National Nurses Week recently came to a close, PHN remains committed to supporting and celebrating you every day of the year. We profoundly thank you for your sacrifices and commitment to providing exceptional care to the children and families of our region. This month, PHN is featuring outstanding nurses who represent all of the amazing nurses across our network. Please join us in extending our sincere appreciation to all of the nurses in our network, in our lives, and across the world.
With gratitude,
Erica Weiner, MSN, RN, CPNP-PC

Below, we feature a few outstanding nurses from the Pediatric Health Network with a quote from their supervisors. These nurses are representative of the many nurses who work tirelessly across our network to help transform the health of our region’s children.
Michelle P – “She is an LPN and my nurse supervisor. She’s been with me for almost 9 years. She is dependable and stays so positive during these challenging times. She is definitely my hero! She’s everything a nurse should be and more!” – Gloria Dailey, Practice Administrator
Chenin B. – “Chenin is the clinical lead at our Greenbriar Office. She is a dynamic leader who seeks out opportunities to help her team be successful. Her “lead from the front” leadership style has earned her respect from both peers and providers. I have no doubt that Greenbriar functions as smoothly as it does because she is the clinical lead.” – Christopher A. Miller, Clinical Operations Manager
Lexi L. – “Lexi came to us from Children’s National where her love of Pediatrics began. She continues to provide excellent patient care to our families and uses her inpatient experience to help them navigate the complexities of healthcare. Every patient and every family she interacts with sings her praises and we know how lucky we are to have her on our team!” – Christopher A. Miller, Clinical Operations Manager
Stephanie F. – “Stephanie was born to be a pediatric nurse. She is always calm, she can soothe the fussiest of children, and the way she interacts with families is something that must be witnessed to truly appreciate. You simply will not find a person as compassionate as she is. Stephanie is a nurse you want to have on your team.” – Christopher A. Miller, Clinical Operations Manager
Teresa L. – “Teresa also came to us from Children’s National. Teresa is a brilliant nurse who has found her groove here at FPA. She quickly adapted to the outpatient setting and uses her skills to provide the highest level of patient care. Parents know that their child is in the best care when she is their nurse.” – Christopher A. Miller, Clinical Operations Manager
Becky B. – “Becky is the clinical lead at our Centreville Office. Becky is a selfless leader who always finds ways to improve workflows and enhance patient experience. She often resolves problems as they begin to surface and routinely assumes responsibility of tasks so that others do not have to take on additional duties. Her leadership abilities are only eclipsed by her clinical skills. We are truly lucky to have her on our team!” – Christopher A. Miller, Clinical Operations Manager
Cathy G. – “Cathy is wonderful and always positive and a pleasure to work with. We are very lucky to have her! She goes above and beyond and always with a cheerful attitude. She is truly an asset and we are so glad to have her on our team. She is very flexible and always willing to help out and learn new things. Patients and families love her.” – Sue Coleman, Practice Administrator
