Dear PHN community,
I just spent the last few days at the Pediatric Academic Societies meeting here in Washington, DC. Along with networking with colleagues from around the country, I also had the privilege of presenting our findings from PHN’s 2022 Adolescent Health Quality Improvement initiative. I was proud to represent our collaborative efforts and share our insights with other interested groups from around the country.
As we head into May, I wanted to take a moment to express our appreciation for all the hard work and dedication that our nursing colleagues put forth every day. May is recognized as National Nurses Appreciation Month, and it provides us with an excellent opportunity to recognize the critical role that nurses play in our healthcare system. I have a deep appreciation for nurses, as I have many family members, close friends, and terrific colleagues in the nursing profession. Read on in this newsletter to learn more about some of the nurses from across our network, highlighting the invaluable work all our nursing colleagues do in supporting our patients and delivering quality care.
Also, remember to register for the upcoming Future of Pediatrics, which is scheduled to take place in person on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. This year’s conference will focus on tackling the obesity epidemic and putting the new guidelines into practice. We will hear from local experts about the practical application of these guidelines and as always it will be an excellent venue to network with colleagues from across our region. It promises to be an exciting event, and we hope to see many of you there.
