How will the Pediatric Health Network approach payor contracting?

The Pediatric Health Network’s contracting focus is on value-based care contracts, such as pay-for-performance and shared savings arrangements, that will position on top of members’ existing fee-for-service contracts. The goals of these contracts are to:

• Provide a united pediatric voice and perspective to ensure payors and value-based contracts are pediatric – not “adult-focused”
• Develop achievable and sustainable opportunities to reward physician performance based on cost and quality

Pediatric Health Network’s physician-led Board of Directors and Finance Committee guides payor contracting strategy, which may over time include base-rate contracting and/or limited risk contracting.
